Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!! No Hoary Redpoll in that bunch?? We had 6 Redpolls at our feeder 2 days ago, but they never returned. They brought me much joy. Aggressive for such little birds.
How many to constitute a swarm? Is it a particularly good year for them? I saw my first redpoll in the UK last month – about 15.
Wow, and I was excited about seeing half a dozen in the birch tree off our balcony this winter!
