These are all just lovely. I surely enjoy your scientific expertise. Being an amateur botanist, these especially appeal to me. We have many of the relatives of these plants in San Diego. Pearly Everlasting is one of my faves. Smells like maple syrup, does yours?
Thanks, everyone! I’d been waiting for the snow levels to finally get high enough to isolate each plant stem. I had fun watching for different species during my walk.
I had no idea, Gayle, but now I’ll have to remember to check this year! The wild everlasting I showed here is a different species from Pearly, but we do have Pearly in the garden. I think it grows wild in some places, too.
